How can I find my SIM card number / SIM ID (ICCID) on my phone?

Your SIM card number — the ICCID — is a unique 19–20 digit serial that identifies your SIM. You'll need it to activate a Wave Connect data plan, move a plan to a new SIM, or get help from support. Here's how to find it on any phone in under a minute.

Find your ICCID on your device

Pick your device and SIM type below.

Physical SIM cards

iPhone (Apple)

  1. Open Settings, then tap General.
  2. Tap About and scroll down
  3. Read the number on the ICCID row — that 19–20 digit value is your SIM number.

For exact steps by handset model, see Apple's official guide.

Android

  1. Open Settings and scroll to About phone (or About device).
  2. Tap Status information, then IMEI information. On some phones this is called ‘Phone identity’
  3. Your SIM number shows as the ICCID (sometimes labelled IMSI).

ESIM

iPhone (Apple)

  1. From the Home screen open Settings › General › About.
  2. Scroll to the Digital SIM / eSIM section.
  3. Read the ICCID (and EID) listed for that eSIM line.

Android

  1. Open Settings › About phone › SIM status, then pick the eSIM line if prompted.
  2. Tap ICCID or IMEI info.
  3. The ICCID listed there is your eSIM number.

Frequently asked questions

The ICCID questions we get asked most.

Is the ICCID the same as the IMEI?

No. The ICCID identifies your SIM card; the IMEI identifies your phone. If support asks for your “SIM number” they mean the ICCID — not the IMEI you get from *#06#.

How many digits is an ICCID?

An ICCID is usually 19 or 20 digits long and typically starts with 89, the telecom industry code. Anything shorter is probably a different identifier.

Where do I find the ICCID on an eSIM?

There is no physical card on an eSIM, so open Settings › General/About and look under the Digital SIM / eSIM section — the ICCID and EID are listed there.

My Android shows ‘IMSI’ instead of ICCID — which do I use?

Some Android builds label the stored SIM number as IMSI. To activate a Wave Connect plan we need the ICCID printed on the SIM; if you can only see the IMSI, contact support and we’ll match it for you.

Can I find the ICCID without opening my phone?

Yes — on a physical SIM the ICCID is printed on the plastic card and on the credit-card-sized holder it shipped in.
