Open your email
Have the QR code on screen on another device, or print it. You cannot scan it with the same phone you are installing on.

Scan the code
On your device, go to mobile data settings and choose to add an eSIM, then scan.

Turn on data roaming
Required, because the eSIM roams between networks to find the strongest signal.
Keep your QR code. Depending on your device you may need it again if you reset or change phone.
If it does not connect automatically after installing, set the APN:

Everything worth knowing before you buy.
Will an eSIM work on my device?
Your device must support eSIM and be unlocked. Most phones and tablets released from 2019 onwards do, and some newer routers and hotspots. Many 4G routers, trail cameras, security cameras and IoT devices do not - if you are using one of those, choose the physical SIM instead.
You can usually check in your device settings: if there is an option to add an eSIM or a mobile plan by QR code, you are covered.
How is my eSIM delivered?
By email, as a QR code. Nothing is posted and there is no plastic card. Scanning the code installs the plan on your device, which takes about two minutes.
Can I make calls or send texts with this eSIM?
No. This is a data-only eSIM. It provides mobile internet but cannot make or receive calls or SMS - including verification codes sent by text.
When does my plan start?
Your 365 day plan starts the first time the eSIM connects to a network and transmits data - not when you buy it, and not when you install it. You can buy ahead without using up your allowance.
What networks will it use in Francia?
Your device connects to whichever of Orange, SFR, Bouygues, and Free has the strongest signal where you are, and switches automatically if that changes. You do not need to choose.
Can I move the eSIM to another device?
An eSIM is tied to the device it is installed on. Moving it to a different device means removing it from the first, and depending on your device and the plan it may not be possible to reinstall it afterwards.
If you expect to move the plan between devices, a physical SIM is the better choice.
What if I lose my QR code?
Keep the email safe - you may need the code again if you reset your device. If you cannot find it, get in touch and we will help.
What happens when I run out of data?
The connection stops until you top up. There are no overage charges and no surprise bills. Refilling restores your connection and resets your plan duration.
Why does my IP address show another country?
This is a roaming IoT eSIM - it connects through partner networks across Europe, so websites may see you as being elsewhere. That is no issue for general browsing and connected devices, which is what it is built for. It is not intended for geo-restricted TV or streaming services.
Do I need to change any settings after installing?
Usually not - most devices configure themselves. You do need data roaming switched on, because the eSIM roams between networks. If it still will not connect, set the APN to wbdata and restart.
