Start with the job the connection must do

“Internet on site” can mean very different things. A tablet used occasionally for email has modest requirements. A router supporting payment terminals, workforce devices, cloud applications and security cameras needs more capacity, better placement and a clearer plan for failure.

Before selecting hardware or a data plan, identify the devices, their likely data use and the consequence of an outage. This avoids two common mistakes: buying too little data for high-use equipment, or overbuilding a connection for a single low-data sensor.

Coverage resilience matters more than a coverage map
