eSIM card configuration

An account requires a valid email address and mobile telephone number as we need to verify these details before sending an eSIM.

For Apple, iOS version 12.1.3 or later is required.

You can verify your email address by following the link in the eSIM email we send you. Clicking the link will take you to a webpage on which you can verify your mobile phone number. Upon successful verification you will by able to view the QR code and instructions for installation.

You will need to open the link on a different device in order to scan the QR code from the phone that will be using the eSIM.

Install eSIM profile

These instructions vary depending on region. "Cellular" is used in the US whilst "Mobile Data" is used in the UK.

  1. On iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular plan
  2. Scan the QR code
  3. When prompted, enter the confirmation code 0000
  4. Follow the activation wizard and set your new Wave Connect eSIM profile for data only
  5. Click "Add Cellular plan"

  6. Label the cellular plan by selecting Secondary
  7. Label as Wave

  8. Set the profile for data only

  9. Activate your eSIM under Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data
